Little Acts Of Love

The world is full of stories and there are so many of them that it is a blessing that we are alive in this world. I make it a point to maintain journals wherein I record all those small and big moments that have defined my life for so long!

I will be sharing one such story that gives me too much hope. I want you all to know that the world isn’t as terrible as we make it to be. Haven’t we all heard of the saying that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder? So, when you’re analyzing a moment, make sure to look at it from
various perspectives.
I was walking down the lane heading to my office when I saw a little woman begging on the streets. It wasn’t the fact that she was begging which moved me. I was stunned to see that even in the middle of winters; she has barely enough clothes leave apart a jacket! Not only
this, she was barefoot and she has big blisters on her foot as well. I could easily make out that she was shivering badly and still no one bothered to help. There was a guy who was smoking cigarettes but never bothered to give her something to eat.
I went near her and asked her how she was. She almost cried because

she said that no one had spoken to her in too long a time. I took her to a nearby restaurant and ordered food. She kept on sobbing and even refused to go to a fancy restaurant. The bill wasn’t much but she was elated. When the hotel owner found that I had bought a beggar, I thought he was going to create a scene. However, to my surprise, I found him charging me nothing!
He told that each one of us should do something for humanity. We often forget that it is humanity which is our greatest religion. He told that seeing me help this little woman awoke the humanity in him and he is glad that he got his chance to do his bit too.
I insisted that he allows me to pay but he refused. I then took her to

a nearby shop and got her clothes to keep her warm. The sincerity and love which she bestowed upon me in exchange of this simple gesture moved me to pieces.
It taught me the importance of love and helping. There is a lot of

optimism and love in this world. I didn’t do anything phenomenal but for the little woman, I was the God she was looking for

Be the change

Life is often unpredictable and it is hard to know what tomorrow is going to bring! Some of us are strong enough to put a fight while too many of us end up quitting because we are not sure of what we want and we are scared to do something which might upset what we already have. This is why we end up losing on things we could otherwise have! I remember the day when I decided that I had enough and now I was going to do what I wanted to do rather than follow what the world wanted me to do.
I had always wanted to give up my full time work and devote my life to charity. I knew things don’t always have a fairytale ending and there are going to be times when all your effort will go down the drain. However, the million dollar question is that is the doubt big enough to stop you from doing something?
I decided that I was going to take a bold move, one day at a time. I didn’t have a lot of funds to begin but I had a will and so with whatever little I had, I started a little organization. Initially, I had no coverage and people didn’t know about what I was doing.
The worst possible times were when people asked me what I did for a living! While they applauded me at my face, I always heard a few murmurs behind my back. People told he doesn’t earn a dime. I knew better than to believe these words and let them mould who I am. It was then that I decided that no matter what the world has to say, when I have taken a bold move, I am going to follow it. I started my work and started ways of marketing it as well. I was looking for ways by which I could get the right amount of coverage and soon enough I saw that my efforts started paying the right rewards.
The organization kept on growing and I was amazed at how much I managed to achieve. I was exploring the different ways by which I could keep on growing my work and today I am happy that I did follow my instincts. I may not be a millionaire and may not have a multinational company but I am happy that I was bold enough to choose a profession that is up to my liking. Every day seems to take me to a new place and I am happy with the kind of growth I am making, mainly because I know I bring a difference to lives.

The Lost Job

Too many times, we lose the direction in our life. We don’t know where we are headed and the more we try, the more we end up being lost.

I have had a lot of such terrible days and I make it a point to remember such occurrences because I believe that it is these moments which actually give me the push to carry out things.
I remember when I was heartbroken one day because I had just lost my job. I had never felt so directionless in my life and so I had felt extremely broken. I felt like I was a loser because there was no way I was going to get such a great job again. Back in my mind, I knew that I deserved a much better job and if I tried I would perhaps land a great job too. However that didn’t stop me from succumbing to disappointment.

It was then that I came back home with a worried and broken look on my face. It took my father a couple of seconds to register that something was seriously wrong with me. I thought he would bombard me with a lot of questions which I frankly had no desire to answer. However, he perhaps sensed my mood too well as all he did was hugged me tight. He told me, “son, life is a series of events and none of it is permanent. Whatever happens today may not exist tomorrow.”
It was those little words that gave me all the comfort which I needed. I spent the whole evening with my father and the bonding we had kept getting better. My dad knew exactly what I needed form him and we spent the whole time just talking of the good old days. He told me that losing a job isn’t the end of the world and he was sure that I had a lot of great things o conquer and there is still a lot of hope. He asked me not to write myself off because my story was definitely not over.
I am really glad that I had my father with me that day because it taught me a lot of important things about life. It showed me that there are things in life which we should cherish and often when you
fell like it is the end of the world for you, it ends up being another bend!

So, you should never give up hope because you have to understand that it is the times that you spend #together with the people who mean the most to you that shows you what life truly means!

Happiness

What do you believe about happiness? Do you think it is a choice or is it something upon which we have no control?

I personally believe that as far as happiness is concerned, it has a lot to do with what you feel about a thing or a person!

You can always choose to be happy and when you do so, it is sure to bring a lot of happy smiles on your faces.

I know it is easier said than done but I try everyday to ensure that when it  ends, I go to bed with a smile on my face!

My words

i wonder where my words shall take me

Will they be by my side when the shadow too ditches me?

Can words comfort like humans do?

Can words love when I want to?

Someone please answer the rhetoric questions

Because the words need words too!

Quote 3

i am not lonely but I know what alone feels like. It is better to be alone and discover yourself rather than being with a million friends and still finding your heart to be so lonely that it silently weeps!

The poetic affair

I believe that poems speak

They not only tell the words they mean

But, when you look deeper within

You will find a song inside

There are words that tell a tale

The tales can bring tears

Because poems are so much more than words

That have been made to rhyme!

One big dream

Do you believe in dreams? Do you think that the things you dream of might one day be real too?

I have a dream and I am hopeful that things are going to shape the exact way which I want them to be!

Right now I am not sure if things are going to fall in place! However, I believe that when you have a dedication and the will to make things shape in an apt manner, it finally falls in place. It always will!

So, this is my one big dream of living my life the way I want it to!
